Why Pearl Jam @ Fenway Means So Much to Me

Why seeing Pearl Jam at Fenway means so much to me…

It’s not just because Pearl Jam has been one of my favorite bands since I was thirteen years old…

It’s not just because these two shows will be my eleventh and twelfth time seeing them live…

It’s not just because my obsession with Fenway Park began as a kid watching The Babe and Field of Dreams over and over again…

It’s not just because Fenway was just around the corner when I completed grad school and began a new career path…

It’s not just because Fenway is where my wife and I fell in love years ago…

It is because when the lights go down on August 5th and August 7th, I will be in the park I used to dream of as a kid, just around the corner from the school that changed my life, surrounded by the sidewalks that built my marriage, watching the band that has written the soundtrack to over half of my life, and most importantly, standing next to my wife and hopefully lifetime PJ buddy.

It means so much to me for all of these reasons!
